 Jukka Matthias Krisp 

Dr. Krisp is the current head of research at the Department of Cartography (LfK) in the Technical University Munich (TUM). He studied Geography at the Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany and the University of Turku, Finland. He proceeded with his postgraduate studies at the Technical University of Helsinki (TKK), Cartography & Geoinformatics unit, where he continued to work as a senior investigator. During the summer 2008 he changed his position to work at the Department of Cartography (LfK). His current research interests include Geographic Visualization, Location Based Services (LBS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and applications in civil protection & environmental modeling. Recent research work is published on issues like ˇ°Visual Bandwidth Selection for Kernel Density Mapsˇ±, ˇ°Pedestrian off-road navigation for multi modal routingˇ± and ˇ°Kernel Density Estimations for Visual Analysis of Emergency Response Dataˇ±.
